Welcome, Farewell and happy school days to Hunter and Amoni later this Month. You will be missed at Globalkids. Welcome back Rocklyn and welcome to our new children Abhay, Blake and Sarah and their whānau to the Globalkids family.

See attached Social Competence Policy, to inform you of our teaching strategies. We would love to hear from you regarding feedback, question or comments. Also together with the children, we all came up with some rules,.

Please be sure to send your child to preschool with warm, named clothing and spare clothes as we like to be able to go outside as much as possible during the winter months. Also check baskets for your child’s clothing that has been left behind as we have lots of socks, shoes and tops.

At the moment the children are very interested in music. We love to hear or have some of your family’s music that you enjoy, such as nursery rhymes special dances, songs or instruments.

For us to work towards our Gold Healthy Heart Award, there will be a few changes. These will be updated via a newsletter in lunchboxes. Globalkids is a peanuts nut, lollies (eg fruit strings), chocolate and drinks, such as juice and flavoured milk free zone.
Please could you bring in plastic bags, magazines and cardboard boxes if you have any free. we would greatly appreciate.

Be aware that it is extremely important that you drop off and pick up your child on time at their booked times, this is due to staff rostering to meet Ministry requirements, thanks. If your booked time doesn’t suit please see Debbie to have it changed.

Global Whispers

For the month of May we have a promotion running! If you refer another family to Globalkids, your child and theirs will receive one month free.

Tell another family about Globalkids and get ONE MONTHS’ FREE childcare for your child and theirs!

Conditions:

Offer runs for the calendar month of March 2015. To receive the free childcare your Nominee (referred customer) must enrol with Globalkids Early Learning Centre (Globalkids) within the dates of the promotion and must be a new customer to Globalkids. There are no limits to how many referrals you make however the one month’s free childcare will only apply once.

What to do:

Fill out the Global Whispers referral form and bring it in to Globalkids. When your Nominee enrols and tells us that you referred them, Globalkids will tick their name off the list you provided and the free childcare will be arranged within at least one month of the promotions end date.

In the event your nominee has to join a waiting list, the free childcare offer will apply only when they start at Globalkids. Referrals will be allocated on a first in first served basis and there are limited spaces available.

Museum visit

Today we took some of our children to visit the museum to finish our interest on insects. We had so much fun exploring their discovery room. There were lots of spiders, butterflies, fossils, dinosaur bones, and many other things to explore. After we were finished in the museum we explored the botanic gardens. The children loved climbing up an unusual looking tree. Thank you to Rebecca, Nicole, and Shauna for your much appreciated parent help today.
